VOLUNTEERing

 

The Furniture Link project is staffed largely by volunteers, as such we always need reliable and committed people who are able to give a regular amount of their time,

even if that may only be an hour or two a week.

 

There are volunteering opportunities in almost all areas of Furniture Link work including, but not limited to:

 

  • Van driver's assistants for collections & deliveries
  • Customer service to assist customers during the shop opening hours.
  • Cleaning and refurbishment of donated furniture
  • Social media, finding useful information for our customers, and uploading new stock photos

Currently seeking Van Driver's Assistants

 

You'll help collect and sort furniture, providing an efficient and courteous collection service to our donors.
You will need:
- a polite and friendly disposition
- the ability to work as part of a team
- good communication skills
- good fitness levels – lifting is a significant part of what is required.
 
Manual handling training will be provided. Ideally you'll be able to commit to one or two mornings per week.

 

Furniture Link can reimburse your travel expenses and you'll have the opportunity to get involved with upcycling activities in the showroom if you are interested.
You'll be helping Furniture Link provide much needed low cost furniture to people living through challenging conditions across North Herts and Stevenage
